IPOH – Keluarga Muhammad Zaharif Affendi Muhd Zamrie melantik firma guaman Hafarizam Wan & Aisha Mubarak (HWAM) untuk membela nasib pelajar itu yang maut dipercayai dilanggar kenderan dipandu pegawai kanan polis pada Jumaat lalu.
Berdasarkan laporan Kosmo, mengulas berhubung pelantikan itu, Peguam Datuk Wan Azmir Wan Majid berkata, pasukannya akan memastikan siasatan yang telah bermula dibuat secara telus bagi mengambil tindakan sivil kepada pelaku.
Pihaknya juga sedang melihat adakah tindakan perlu diambil terhadap kerajaan dan Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM).
“Setakat ini apa yang kami buat adalah mengumpul segala bahan bukti yang ada, dan melihat kembali semua video-video yang dihadapkan kepada kami. Dan juga mengumpul setiap saksi yang berada di tempat tersebut.
“Insya-Allah dalam masa dua tiga hari ini kami dapat kumpul semua ini. Kami akan hadapkan semua pembuktian ini kepada pihak polis agar dapat membantu mereka menjalankan siasatan dan tuntutan kami terhadap kejadian tersebut,” katanya.
Beliau berkata demikian kepada pemberita selepas mengadakan pertemuan dengan pihak keluarga Muhammad Zaharif Affendi di Taman Chepor Sentosa di Chemor, di sini hari ini.
Firma guaman itu sebelum ini pernah mengendalikan beberapa kes berprofil tinggi dalam negara.
Menurut Kosmo, polis sedang melengkapkan kertas siasatan kes tersebut dari pelbagai sudut sebelum kertas pendakwaan berkenaan diserahkan kepada Timbalan Pendakwa Raya untuk tindakan selanjutnya.
Ketua Polis Perak, Datuk Seri Mohd. Yusri Hassan Basri ketika dihubungi semalam memberitahu, beberapa saksi telah pun tampil bagi membantu siasatan dengan siasatan kes dijalankan mengikut Seksyen 41(1) Akta Pengangkutan Jalan 1987 dan Seksyen 302 Kanun Keseksaan.
