KUALA TERENGGANU: Seorang pemilik kedai emas kerugian kira-kira RM700,000 selepas menjadi mangsa pecah amanah pekerja sendiri dalam kejadian di sini.
Kejadian itu disedari usahawan wanita berusia 37 tahun terbabit, selepas pelanggannya datang ke kedai emasnya kira-kira jam 10 pagi pada 2 Februari lalu untuk mendapatkan barang kemasnya.
Ketua Polis Terengganu, Datuk Mohd Khairi Khairudin, berkata mangsa kemudian membuat semakan sebelum mendapati berlaku transaksi dibuat pekerjanya yang mengambil tempahan emas daripada pelanggan untuk dileburkan.
Beliau berkata, semakan mendapati bayaran diterima daripada pelanggan itu tetapi ia tidak direkodkan pada buku daftar kedai berkenaan.
“Pemeriksaan juga mendapati rekod berat emas yang diterima berbeza dengan berat sebenar secara berperingkat yang menyebabkan mangsa menanggung kerugian.
“Semakan itu dibuat mangsa selepas pelanggan yang menghantar barangan kemas ke kedainya membuat laporan polis kerana belum menerima barangan yang ditempah sehingga kini.
“Susulan laporan diterima itu, satu kertas siasatan dibuka di bawah Seksyen 408 Kanun Keseksaan.
“Kes masih dalam siasatan dan kita masih mengumpulkan bukti-bukti keterangan sebelum dimajukan kepada pihak pendakwaan,” katanya dalam satu kenyataan di sini.
