Kangar: Polis sedang menyiasat sama ada lelaki yang cedera di tangan selepas tangki minyak keretanya tiba-tiba meletup dan terbakar ketika sedang mengisi petrol di sebuah stesen minyak di Repoh di sini, pada Jumaat adalah seorang penyeludup.
Ini berikutan tular pelbagai dakwaan yang mengatakan bahawa mangsa yang berusia lingkungan 40-an itu adalah seorang penyeludup yang cuba untuk menyeludup petrol di stesen minyak berkenaan selepas penemuan tangki minyak tambahan yang diubah suai di but kereta dipercayai dipandunya.
Ketua Polis Daerah Kangar Asisten Komisioner Yusharifuddin Mohd Yusop berkata, perkara berkenaan masih dalam siasatan polis dan tiada tangkapan dilakukan buat masa ini.
“Perkara itu masih dalam siasatan kita,” katanya ringkas ketika dihubungi hari ini.
Sementara itu, Pengarah Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Kos Sara Hidup (KPDN) Negeri Perlis Norazah Jaapar ketika dihubungi berkata, kejadian kebakaran yang membabitkan kereta di stesen minyak berkenaan diserahkan kepada polis siasatan lanjut.
“Bagaimanapun, kita tetap mengambil perhatian akan kejadian berkenaan di mana susulan kejadian itu, penguat kuasa KPDN Perlis sudah ke tempat kejadian dan mengarahkan pemilik stesen minyak itu mengemukakan dokumen atau maklumat barang kawalan mengikut arahan Seksyen 8 (1) Akta Kawalan Bekalan 1961.
“Dalam masa yang sama juga, satu tindakan kes diambil mengikut Sub Peraturan 21 (1) Peraturan-Peraturan Kawalan Bekalan 1974 kerana didapati melanggar Sub Peraturan 13(2) peraturan yang sama iaitu peruncit gagal menyelenggara buku stok atau tidak mempunyai buku stok,” katanya.
Beliau berkata, pihaknya menasihatkan kepada pemegang lesen borong dan runcit barang kawalan sentiasa cakna dan mematuhi arahan pengawal, syarat lesen, menyelenggara buku stok runcit atau borong.
Pada Jumaat lalu, seorang lelaki cedera apabila tangki minyak keretanya tiba-tiba meletup dan terbakar ketika sedang mengisi petrol di sebuah stesen minyak di Repoh, Kangar.
Dalam kejadian pada 4.10 petang itu, mangsa berhenti di stesen minyak berkenaan untuk mengisi minyak pada kereta Proton Iswara Aeroback miliknya.
