Kuala Lumpur: “Apa yang membuatkan kami adik-beradik lagi bersemangat nak sambung belajar adalah sewaktu sekolah rendah dulu, masing-masing tulis surat perjanjian dengan ayah untuk cuba belajar sampai peringkat tertinggi,” kata Syazwani Aniyah Manja, 36, yang menamatkan pengajian di peringkat Doktor Falsafah (PhD) Pendidikan Awal Kanak-Kanak di Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI).
Lebih membanggakan Syazwani turut meraikan kejayaan bersama tiga lagi saudaranya apabila mengambil skrol pada majlis konvokesyen di universiti masing-masing pada 22 November lalu.
Menurut anak kelima daripada sembilan bersaudara itu, abangnya iaitu anak kedua, Syahzan Ezlan Manja, 42, menamatkan pengajian dalam bidang Sarjana Pendidikan (Pendidikan Islam) di UPSI, adiknya, Muhammad Syahrul Azfar Manja, 33, dalam bidang Sarjana Sains (Pengajian Strategik) di Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) dan adik bongsunya, Muhammad Amir Syakir Manja, 26, dalam bidang Sarjana Pengajian Islam (Syariah) di Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).
Syazwani berkata, dia tidak menjangka semua mereka dapat bergraduasi pada tahun yang sama.
“Kalau ikutkan tak jangka. Terkejut bila semua kongsi dalam grup WhatsApp cakap sudah hantar tesis dan dapat surat pengesahan Senat tamat belajar.
“Selepas itu, bila dah dapat pengesahan konvokesyen tahun ini, masing-masing gementar takut bertindih tarikh. Tapi Alhamdulillah aturan Allah tu cantik. Tarikh langsung tak bertindih dan berlansung dalam seminggu.
“Namun, disebabkan kekangan kerja, jadi kami bahagikan untuk hadir. Ayah kata dia wajib pergi semua. Sementara adik-beradik pula, kami bahagi, contoh adik pergi konvokesyen abang. Abang pergi konvokesyen seorang adik. Kakak pergi konvokesyen abang dan seorang adik.
“Terpaksa buat macam itu sebab keempat-empat hari konvokesyen kami adalah hari bekerja,” katanya kepada Harian Metro.
Menurutnya, dia bersama adik-beradik lain merancang untuk berkumpul bagi meraikan kejayaan itu bulan depan.
“Kami selalu berkumpul pada hujung minggu tapi sukar dapat kehadiran penuh sebab dua adik, Inspektor polis dan tentera. Jadi lepas konvokesyen ini, memang sempat.
“Macam adik yang di UUM tu, dia Inspektor polis. Habis konvokesyen tempoh hari dia terus kena bertugas. Insya-Allah, dalam Disember ini baru buat perhimpunan keluarga,” katanya.
Dia berkata, keputusan sambung belajar bersama adik-beradik lain bagi memenuhi impian arwah ibunya.
“Ibu meninggal dunia 13 Oktober tahun lalu. Kalau ikutkan sangat sedih sebab kami sangat rapat dengan ibu.
“Sambung belajar adik-beradik ni pun salah satu sebab bagi memenuhi impian ibu sebab arwah dan ayah memang sangat supportive. Macam arwah ibu waktu ada dulu, teman anak buat tesis, duduk tepi meja dan beri semangat. Macam ayah pula, waktu belajar kami sentiasa rujuk ayah sebab ayah pesara pensyarah,” katanya.
Menurutnya, tiga adik-beradik lain pemegang ijazah sarjana muda dan dua lagi diploma.
