Kuala Lumpur: Sebanyak 220,000 daripada kira-kira 330,000 tiket bas ekspres di Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) untuk perjalanan sempena Hari Raya Aidifltiri terjual dengan kesemua tiket ke Pantai Timur sudah habis terjual.
Menteri Pengangkutan Anthony Loke berkata ini menjadikan hanya lebih kurang 100,000 tiket bas ekspres yang tinggal, iaitu bagi perjalanan ke utara dan selatan.
“Agensi Pengangkutan Awam Darat (APAD) telah meluluskan sebanyak 218 bas tambahan setakat 29 Mac melalui permohonan Lesen Perubahan Sementara (LPS) Perayaan bagi menampung permintaan tiket yang tinggi untuk balik kampung sempena Aidilfitri
“Jumlah bas tambahan dijangka akan meningkat sehingga permohonan LPS tutup pada 4 petang hari ini. Pada tahun lepas, sebanyak 256 bas tambahan telah diluluskan oleh APAD,” katanya.
Loke berkata demikian dalam sidang media selepas meninjau pengoperasian TBS sempena Hari Raya Aidilfitri bersama Ketua Pengarah APAD Datuk Azlan Shah Al Bakri dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif Kumpulan Maju Holdings Datuk Roslan Sharif.
Loke berkata keselamatan penumpang menjadi keutamaan Kementerian Pengangkutan (MOT) dan APAD sudah memastikan bas-bas tambahan yang diluluskan disaring dahulu bagi memastikan bas digunakan mematuhi kriteria permohonan termasuk melepasi kelulusan pemeriksaan keselamatan kenderaan dan memiliki GPS.
Pemandu bas juga katanya diwajibkan melalui ujian saringan bagi memastikan mereka tidak berada di bawah pengaruh dadah selain dipastikan tidak mengambil perjalanan lebih daripada sepatutnya, bagi memastikan mereka mendapat rehat mencukupi.
Menurut Loke, operasi bersepadu Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ) dan Polis Diraja Malaysia akan kerap dilaksanakan selain pemantauan mengejut lebih kerap di terminal bas seluruh negara bagi menjamin ketersediaan pemandu dan keadaan fizikal bas supaya selamat digunakan.
“Ini memandangkan terminal bas dijangka menghadapi lonjakan jumlah penumpang terutamanya hujung minggu ini, dengan TBS misalnya dianggarkan mengendalikan 30,000 penumpang sehari, membabitkan 1,000 perjalanan bas ekspres dalam tempoh 24 jam.
“Dalam 40 bas akan berlepas dalam tempoh 1 jam, maksudnya hampir setiap satu setengah minit akan ada satu bas berlepas dari TBS, setiap bas purata 30 hingga 40 penumpang. Jadi persiapan rapi perlu dibuat terminal bas,” katanya.
Sejak 14 tahun lalu, TBS mengendalikan kira-kira 100 juta penumpang dengan penjualan tiket mencecah RM1 bilion, katanya.
Loke berkata TBS juga memperkenalkan penggunaan kod QR bagi pembelian dalam talian dengan penumpang hanya perlu mencetak dan boleh terus ke Balai Pelepasan selepas mengimbas Kod QR di pagar automatik bagi mengurangkan kesesakan di kaunter dan pintu masuk utama Balai Pelepasan.
Beliau berkata pembelian tiket dalam talian juga menjadi pilihan utama pengguna ketika ini, dengan 70 peratus pembelian dibuat menerusi dalam talian dan selebihnya menerusi kaunter fizikal.
Dalam pada itu, Loke menafikan dakwaan kononnya MOT menetapkan Petunjuk Prestasi Utama (KPI) kepada JPJ untuk mengeluarkan 13,000 saman sita dan 1,500 saman biasa kepada pengguna jalan raya, seperti yang tersebar di media sosial.
“KPI kita ialah mengurangkan kemalangan jalan raya, tiada KPI daripada MOT kepada JPJ untuk keluar berapa saman, itu KPI palsu, itu kenyataan palsu,” katanya.
Selain itu, Loke berkata Terminal Bersepadu Gombak dijangka akan mula beroperasi Jun ini dan memaklumkan akan mengadakan lawatan ke terminal berkenaan selepas Aidilfitri ini.
