Dataran Taman Ekspo Pertanian Malaysia (MAEPS), Serdang, Selangor sekali lagi menjadi lautan ‘jingga’ apabila lebih 4,000 peserta menyertai acara keluarga, Guardian Fun Run 2023, Sabtu lalu.
Menurut Harian Metro, selain acara larian santai bersama keluarga, acara itu turut dimeriahkan dengan karnival jualan istimewa daripada 38 jenama yang menawarkan promosi menakjubkan untuk produk masing-masing.
Tidak ketinggalan reruai oleh Tourism Malaysia yang mempromosikan pelancongan domestik menerusi kerjasama pintar bersama peneraju rangkaian kesihatan, kecantikan dan farmasi runcit itu.
Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif, Guardian Health and Beauty, Asia Tenggara, Soren Lauridsen berkata, pihak teruja apabila acara kali ini merekodkan peningkatkan dua kali ganda peserta berbanding tahun lalu.
Kata beliau, selaku peneraju pakar kesihatan komuniti di Malaysia, pihaknya komited untuk membantu pelanggan menikmati kehidupan yang sihat dan lebih baik dengan mengadakan aktiviti berteraskan keluarga seperti Guardian Fun Run itu, ketika ditemuduga Harian Metro.
“Ia sememangnya acara berorientasikan keluarga dengan adanya kategori Family Run Tiga Kilometer dan Fun Run Lima Kilometer untuk pelari yang lebih serius.
“Selain itu, Larian Maya (Virtual Run) turut dianjurkan untuk peserta yang tinggal di luar Lembah Klang bagi membolehkan mereka mengambil bahagian.
“Kami pasti akan menganjurkan lebih banyak acara seperti ini selain ia antara misi kami membantu masyarakat untuk mengekalkan kesihatan dan menikmati gaya hidup sihat yang lebih bermakna,” katanya pada majlis berkenaan.
Dalam pada itu, selain dapat menggalakkan amalan gaya hidup sihat, acara larian kini semakin diminati wanita yang bekerjaya.
Puteri Shazwani Megat Shariman, 24, misalnya sanggup memandu hampir 200 kilometer dari Kuantan, Pahang, semata-mata untuk menyertai acara itu bersama dua lagi ahli keluarganya.
Pegawai Tentera Laut Diraja Malaysia (TLDM) itu mengakui acara berkenaan bukan sahaja membolehkan dirinya menghabiskan masa hujung minggu bersama keluarga malah dapat mengekalkan tahap kecergasan yang penting untuk kerjayanya.
“Untuk memastikan tahap kecergasan sentiasa pada tahap terbaik, memang setiap hari saya akan berlari, berbasikal atau berenang.
“Acara larian ‘fun run’ seperti ini hanya aktiviti suka-suka untuk bersantai bersama keluarga.
“Sejak tahun lepas tidak ketinggalan menyertai larian anjuran Guardian ini, Insya-Allah tahun depan jika tiada halangan, saya dan keluarga pun akan menyertainya lagi,” katanya.
Bagi Diana Atika Abd Wahab, 32, pula, dia dan suami, Syazwan Bohari, 36, membawa dua anak mereka untuk menyertai acara larian berkenaan.
Kata Diana, meskipun dua anaknya baru berusia tiga tahun dan setahun namun mereka sepakat untuk mendedahkan aktiviti itu sebagai riadah untuk keluarga.
“Sebelum Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP) kami berdua memang aktif menyertai acara larian seperti maraton namun selepas mendapat anak, aktiviti itu dikurangkan seketika.
“Kini anak sulung sudah berusia tiga tahun dan adiknya juga sudah dapat diletakkan dalam stroller untuk mengikut kami berlari serta berjalan secara santai.
“Sekali sekala melakukan riadah seperti ini bersama keluarga seronok juga,” katanya kepada Harian Metro.
