Kejadian dipercayai berlaku ketika mangsa berusia 50-an bersama lapan lagi anggota Perhilitan sedang membuat pemantauan hidupan liar di kawasan hutan berkenaan.
Ketua Balai Bomba dan Penyelamat Cheneh, Mohd Hafiezul Mohamad berkata, seramai 14 anggotanya bergegas ke lokasi kejadian sebaik menerima panggilan berhubung kejadian itu pada jam 2.06 petang semalam.
Beliau berkata, kejadian itu menyebabkan mangsa mengalami kecederaan pada bahagian belakang badan.
“Mangsa terpaksa dibawa keluar dari hutan itu menggunakan alat pengusung sejauh kira-kira dua kilometer.
“Mangsa diberikan rawatan awal sebelum dihantar ke Hospital Kemaman untuk tindakan lanjut,” katanya.
